Big Basin Redwood State Park (NorCal)
So here I am trying to do this blogging thing. I do admit I attempted blogging back in 2012, but that unfortunately did not play out. I guess you can say I got caught up in school, forming new social groups, and more school. Now that I have graduated and moved back up from SoCal, I am presented with a new blank page again. It's weird...this transition zone post-undergrad. I've been keeping myself busy finishing my last two prerequisite courses (Microbiology and Physiology with labs) for accelerated nursing programs. I am currently in the process of applying to nursing schools, finishing up those courses, and picking up new hobbies!
I recently went on two really amazing hikes up in Northern California and really intend on making this a habit. The first hike I did up here was with two friends and my boyfriend was on August 15th at Big Basin Redwood State Park. We did took this 11 mile hike and saw the most majestic redwood trees and a lovely waterfall. We left San Francisco about 6:00am and arrived at Big Basin around 8:00am then started our hike. There is a $10 per car fee when you get to the trailhead. It was quite chilly in the morning, but it definitely warmed up later in the day. Luckily, the shady redwood trees blocked a lot of the sun for most of the hike. All in all, it was a beautiful hike, enjoyable with a small group of people.
