Hi friends! Happy Nurses Week (May 6-12)!
To my fellow nurses --
❤️ Thank you for all that you do. You are overworked and underpaid.
❤️ Thank you for working tirelessly to save lives and make a difference in someone's life.
❤️ Thank you for all that you do. You are overworked and underpaid.
❤️ Thank you for being the backbone of healthcare.
❤️ Thank you for still caring about people even after years (or even 1 year) of being exposed to the difficulties of this profession (the patients, the other healthcare staff, the administration, insurance issues, etc).
Nurses (and all health professionals) should always feel appreciated because the work they do truly makes an impact. If you don't actually think nurses do much, then man.. you've probably never had to spend time in a hospital either as a patient or to visit a loved one.. and for that, you are blessed. But I hope you are able to have the decency and respect for someone who chose to work in healthcare, one of the most demanding and important aspects to an individual's well-being.
I am thinking about creating an updated post about what I do as a nurse. I often times don't feel like a real nurse still even though I've been working at my job for almost a year now. But I think some reflection will do me some good.
