How did I spend my LAST SCHOOL SUMMER BREAK?
Friends, another chapter in my life is coming to an end! I spent the past 3 weeks back in California for my LAST scheduled school break. I have officially received my Family Nurse Practitioner certification from Columbia University and now what's left is...
-- Sitting for my boards exam some time in July to become a BOARD CERTIFIED FNP (hospitals and clinics will require certification from a certifying board such as the American Nurses Credentialing Center or the American Association of Nurse Practitioners)
-- I have already transferred my RN license to CA, so I will now be working on applying for my Family NP California LICENSE
-- Looking for my first NP job to start working by this coming Fall 2019. I have met and interviewed with a few physicians and NPs in California during my Summer break... fingers crossing something comes from that!
-- Completing my DNP (Doctorate of Nursing Practice degree) competencies through my job and graduating with my DNP degree in May 2020!
It's the home streetttcccchhhhh. I will create another post on how I am studying for my FNP Boards Exam in the coming months!
Here is a nice little photo reel of my time back at home in California --
